The RAM Series positive displacement blowers are designed with advanced features to ensure superior performance and durability. Available in both horizontal and vertical configurations, these blowers provide improved volumetric efficiency and reduced operating temperatures, making them ideal for a wide range of applications.

Precision Engineering

Our rotary lobe blowers are built with the highest quality materials and precise engineering. Alloy steel timing gears are carburized and ground for durability, taper-mounted on shafts, and secured with a locknut to ensure reliable operation. Cylindrical roller bearings provide robust support, making the RAM series suitable for heavy-duty operations.

Key Advantages of the RAM Rotary Positive Blowers

Advanced Sealing Technology

To maintain clean and efficient operation, the RAM Blower incorporates advanced sealing technology:

  • Piston Ring Air Seals: Minimize air leakage through shaft openings in the headplates.
  • Lip-Type and Hydrodynamic Oil Seals: Prevent lubricant contamination in the air chamber and avoid oil leaks from the drive shaft.

Reliable Lubrication

Splash oil lubrication at both ends of the blower ensures smooth and continuous operation, reducing maintenance needs and extending the blower’s lifespan.

Operational Excellence

The RAM blowers feature integral-shaft ductile iron impellers with an involute profile for efficient airflow. Grey iron headplates and a one-piece casing provide robust structural integrity, while die-cast aluminum drive end and gear covers reduce installation costs and simplify maintenance.

Versatile Installation

Detachable rugged steel mounting feet allow for flexible installation, adapting to either vertical or horizontal configurations as needed. The top shaft is extended for drive on side outlet blowers, with either shaft capable of extension to meet specific application requirements.

RAM Blower Operating Principle

The RAM series operates with figure-eight lobe impellers mounted on parallel shafts, rotating in opposite directions. As each impeller passes the blower inlet, it traps a definite volume of air and carries it around the case to the blower outlet, where the air is discharged. With constant speed operation, the displaced volume remains consistent, unaffected by pressure, temperature, or barometric variations. Timing gears control the relative position of the impellers, maintaining small but definite clearances to allow lubrication-free operation inside the air casing.
